(Mexico City, SoloAzar Exclusive).- GAT Expo Mexico 2025 concluded with a historic announcement: the creation of the International Federation of Games of Chance (FIJA), a new organization where Latin American industry associations and guilds will join forces to collaborate. Furthermore, the event organizers and key Latin American regulators agreed to hold their annual summit within GAT Events. Two milestones that mark a new chapter of regional cooperation in the gaming industry.

Mexico City, epicenter of Latin American gaming
For the first time, Mexico City hosted this international event, which brought together manufacturers, operators, regulators, and experts from different countries. The fair, organized by GAT Events in conjunction with AIEJA, offered conferences, a trade show, and networking opportunities. “It's truly exciting to be here for this second edition… this excitement only allows me to say a huge thank you,” said José Aníbal Aguirre during the opening ceremony.

Agreement between GAT and regulators

One of the highlights was the announcement of the agreement between GAT and the Ibero-American Summit of Regulators. “We have reached an agreement… to hold this important event annually within the framework of GAT in any country where we have the pleasure of hosting these events,” declared Aguirre.

Statements that marked the day
Evert Montero Cárdenas, of Fecoljuegos, celebrated the birth of FIJA: “Today is a historic day for the sector… the International Federation of Games of Chance has been created.” He added: “We know we have common pains… and I believe that through FIJA we will achieve very clear objectives.” He closed with a message of unity: “We hope that many more associations will be participating… it is a moment of joy.”

Next stop: GAT São Paulo 2026
The event also announced the launch of GAT São Paulo 2026, which will take place on June 25 and 26 in the Anhembi district.

With nearly 400 attendees at this Mexican edition, GAT Expo reaffirms its role as a key platform for the development of legal and responsible gaming in Latin America.
